About the Course 

The Department of Commerce was started in the year 1997, and upgraded as P.G Department in the year 2006. The M.Phil and Ph.D are upcoming Research Programs. Most of our of faculty members are well qualified with Ph.D. NET & SLET, dedicated and experienced to provide quality education to the students. The Department provides placement facility and trains the students in their career. The Department had been pioneering in conducting various activities in the State level, National level and International level for the overall personality development of students.

 Course Objective

The high demand for commerce graduates in the entire job sector has initiated Cheran College for Women to establish B.Com in the year 1997. Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) is a course that trains students for working in innumerable fields such as marketing, banking, public accounting, policy planning, consultancy, investment, etc. Students can also choose to pursue other courses of higher education after completing B.Com.  B.Com graduates can endure huge opportunities in Corporate Sector, Banking Sector, Insurance Sector, BPO, Bank, Human Resource, Business Consultancy, Investment Banking, Auditing, Financial Analysis, Teaching Field and IT Sectors.

Eligibility Candidates should Passed in 10+2 with minimum 50% marks or equivalent, and candidates should be at least 17 years of age at the time of admission and the upper age limit is 25 years.
